USCTI provides opportunities for members to participate in different capacities including service opportunities on committees including:

• Statistics Committee: Work to enhance statistical reporting for members.
• Programs Committee: Develop engaging Spring and Fall Conferences.
• Technical Committee: As a leading source of technical information USCTI works with industry partners to develop industry standards.
• HR Committee: Explore workforce trends, talent development, and HR strategies impacting the cutting tool manufacturing industry.

Members also have many opportunities to become involved in Institute affairs through a network of general interest committees, such as Programs, HR, and Statistics. The Technical Committee focuses on specific product-related technical issues, such as the development and maintenance of product standards (national and international), and may involve designations of standard and special products; material specifications; testing; types, forms and sizes; geometry and terminology; specification development and maintenance; product information and training materials, etc.
